A few months ago I did a Facebook giveaway for a couples shoot, and it ended up being one of my favorite couples shoots ever!
Stephanie and Kyle recently got engaged this summer and as soon as I met them I could tell they were so in love, and that it was going to be a great session. I had them meet me at my new favorite location because I had only done one shoot there and I really wanted to get accustomed to a location I know I will use often. We started out with some movement and candid style photos to get them used to being in front of the camera while still being themselves.
After getting them comfortable we moved to a different section with some shade for some photos that were more posed & a little more intimate. It's so important to me that my subject are as comfortable as possible during our sessions because I know that creates the BEST photos.
And of COURSE I had to have them do some running photos. Y'all know I LOVE running photos.
Some of you who have worked with me know I have a prompt I like to use to get a big surprise smile. It worked so well for them that I was able to make a really cute GIF out of it!
The rest of the session was just full of fun, laughter, dips, and kisses with the most perfect sunset that we could have asked for. Enjoy the rest of my favorite photos from this session!
Alright, so I'm gonna start this off by saying there are so many great pizza shops around my town and in the Hudson Valley. I wanted to keep this at 10 because even 10 is kind of long, and there were places outside of the Hudson Valley that I just had to add so there are some excellent shops that just didn't make the cut for this list. But, I love pizza more than anybody you know (if they don't have a pizza tattoo, they don't love it as much as me) and I HAD to make a pizza blog post at some point, so here it is.
Something I love about being a photographer is having returning clients who want me to document big changes in their life. Last year I photographed a beautiful family expecting another member quite soon at one of my favorite spots in New Paltz, NY.
I forgot how fun making GIFs in Photoshop can be, and after I got home from a shoot last week I realized I had perfect little sequence for a GIF.
On Friday, August 14th, 2020 I hopped in the car with a friend to drive around the east side of the Hudson Valley looking for a new location to shoot at. My previous favorite spot is now a little risky to shoot at, and I needed to find a place that offered the same vibes, versatility, and most importantly, it needed a beautiful golden hour.
Suzy and Derek's 8/1/2020 wedding was truly kismet. In just a week they managed to get engaged, book a venue, get an officiant, book me on my one available day for 2 weeks, book a videographer in 2 days, and it was all an absolute BREEZE of a day. Truly meant to be.
As photographers we need to work in all sorts of environments or types of weather, and sometimes duty calls on a sweltering summer day. This day at the park with Caterina was one of those days, but we were able to have a quick and productive headshot photoshoot with great results.
